Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease after Extracranial Dura Mater Embolization for a Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma Neurol 48:1451-1453, Antoine,J.C.,et al, 1997 See this aricle in Pubmed Article Abstract We report a 25-year-old man with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease(CJD)who had received dura mater embolization in the external carotid artery for a nasopharyngeal angiofibroma 90 months earlier.The patient was heterozygotous(met/Val)at codon 129.This case suggests that dura mater embolization can be responsible for the CJD.
